Sporadic movement emerges from the questioning of the current practice within dance of inclusion through exclusion, intimidation and inhibition. Through this practice, a border between spectator and performer is constructed, a border which grows stronger with proximity. Sporadic movement is an invitation to deconstruct this border. Sporadic movement is not a performance, it is not a party, it is not a contact jam, it is a movement, where everyone can participate. The only rules are to understand not only ones limitations but also ones potential and movement is created not at the expense of others but with others. |
